“I thought the way I was doing it was the only way” 😲

That sentence stopped me in my tracks.

It came from someone who had recently reached out, curious about my Masterclass, overwhelmed by his reporting process and wondering if things could be simpler.

And while many accountants probably do think that… this was the first time someone had said it out loud - and with such genuine surprise on their face.

He described his month-end process:

📤 Exporting static reports from QuickBooks…
🖱️ Then copying and pasting line by line (!!!) just to preserve the formatting his manager wanted.

❌ No trial balance. Not even a badly linked one!
❌ No formulas
❌ No structure
❌ No cross-checks
Just pure manual work, start to finish. 😓

That’s precisely the exact scenario I start with in my Masterclass.

I thought I was exaggerating.
Starting from rock bottom - just to show how far automation could take you.
Building from a place no one would realistically be at.

Or so I thought…

But it wasn’t an exaggeration at all.
Turns out - it was real life.

When I showed him what a structured, automated setup could look like, his eyes lit up.
And he said:

“I didn’t know this was even possible.”
“I thought the way I was doing it was the only way.”

And that’s the awareness gap I’m here to close.
